Reading a cattle tag with handheld
This reader is fully compatible with the ISO standard 11784/5 and thus reads both HDX and FDX-B transponders (electronic ear tags, boluses and implants). It has a read range of 20cm.
Its use with the Workabout Pro, ensures that data is captured
easily and for those wishing to read transponders using a handheld reader
it allows information to be collected using only one hand. It is especially
useful when recording births or one off events such as movements and
treatments when it is impractical to pass the animal through a race to
read it with the SDL130 Race Reader. A hand strap can be fitted to the
Psion to prevent the unit being dropped accidentally.
Reading sheep tags with handheld
The Psion Workabout Pro can record a range of management and statutory information using the integrated SDL300i to read the transponders. The Psion Workabout Pro transfers data easily to and from the farm management software - FarmWorks by Shearwell Data.
The combination of the Integrated Reader and the Workabout Pro offers convenient data collection with the flexibility of Bluetooth connection to link to other Bluetooth units such as weigh heads.

Agrident APR 350
The Agrident APR350 is one of the smallest most versatile handheld data readers available. With an alphanumeric keypad and robust housing the APR350 is an ideal tool for the workplace.
Using our specialist software, the APR350 comes alive on the farm. Handling animal data is now quick and fast, having tag information available at your fingertips. This unit can be used with either the black or white antenna to enhance the functionality and incorporate Electronic Identification (EID) to read electronic animal tags.
The APR 350 can be used with a PC (via a cable) to link directly to your FarmWorks by Shearwell Data programme to transfer animal data in and out of the software, saving time and reducing possible transcription errors.

When you need a more robust handheld that is completely watertight, then the Agrident APR 450 is the one for you! With an alphanumeric keypad, robust waterproof housing and a bar code reader the APR450 is an ideal tool for use out on the farm.
