Shearwell Data now selling Agrident hardware
Shearwell Data Ltd has been appointed by Agrident GmbH to sell and distribute Agrident's products for the electronic identification of livestock to the livestock industry and to trade suppliers. Agrident's comprehensive range of hand-held and race readers compliment Shearwell Data's EID systems for beef and sheep farmers and expand the range to include readers for all budgets. These readers are compatible with Shearwell Data's farm management software FarmWorks by Shearwell Data or can be programmed by other software providers.
Agrident GmbH, based in Germany, develops, produces and markets readers and transponders for the electronic identification of animals. Agrident has more than 25 years of experience in agricultural process control systems and RFID systems world wide. With this experience their aim is to adapt RFID technology perfectly to the needs of the livestock industry.
Electronic Cattle Tag
Shearwell now has an approved electronic secondary cattle tag.
Shearwell’s Open Day
On 8th November Shearwell's recently refurbished offices were officially opened by Mr Alun Evans, Chairman of the Royal Welsh Agricultural Society Council and former Chairman of NFU Mutual. Over 100 guests attended and were given a presentation on the history of the company by Richard Webber and toured the business looking at the various departments including sales, tag printing, farm software development, electronic identification (EID) equipment, research and development and database development. There were also live demonstrations of Shearwell's EID systems.

New Association
Shearwell Data is now a member of the UKEIDA (United
Kingdom Electronic Identification Association).
Bar Coded Cattle Tags - UK & NI
Shearwell can now produce Bar Coded Tags which are required for exporting cattle. You must check with the exporter what is required as this can vary between countries.
CTS Web Services System Status
We have recently been informed that there is a way for FarmWorks by Shearwell Data users to check to see if CTS Online or the Web Services are currently up and running. Users experiencing problems sending movements or passports can check here to see if the CTS systems are working correctly or not. Please click the link below:
