Whilst tagging is a statutory obligation for some species it can also help farmers accurately identify livestock for management purposes, and help to identify which animals are performing well, and which are less productive. With that knowledge comes power, enhanced management and the opportunity to make more of the right decisions about feed, supplements, breeding etc.

The tag itself may seem such an insignificant part of the big picture, yet it holds the key to unlocking greater potential. Despite its small size and light weight, its significance is huge, so using only the highest quality tags is just common sense.
