Shearwell Data Ltd (hereinafter referred to as "the Company") will always use its very best endeavours to satisfy all the requirements of the customer but all quotations are made and all orders are accepted subject to the following terms and conditions:

Acceptance of delivery of goods or services (or part thereof) from the Company shall be conclusive proof that the customer has accepted these terms and conditions as being the only ones affecting any contract between the customer and the Company.

The Company makes every reasonable effort to meet delivery and service times to suit the customer but sometimes through circumstances beyond the Company's control the Company may be unable to meet those requirements. Consequently, the Company shall not be liable for any damage or losses whatsoever (including consequential losses) which arise through its inability because of circumstances beyond the Company's control e.g. strikes, accidents or shortages of materials etc to supply goods on the times or dates stated.

The Company will do its best to supply the goods and services at the price agreed but the Company reserves the right to increase its prices to take proper account of fluctuations in exchange rates and/or increases in the cost of materials or factors which are not under the Company's control.

Unless the Company has been asked specifically to confirm that its goods or services are fit for the buyer's particular purpose or purposes then the Company give no warranty nor will it be a term of this contract that the Company's goods and services will be fit for any particular purpose or purposes. Save that if the Company are asked to confirm fitness for a particular purpose the Company reserves the right to increase the Company's prices to take account of the increased potential liabilities arising from that confirmation.

The Company shall be entitled to add the reasonable cost of carriage where it delivers goods and the cost of travel when services are rendered.

In the event that discount is available such discount will only apply to the net value of the goods (i.e. exclusive of Value Added Tax).

All Goods delivered to the customer by the Company remain its sole and absolute property and the Company shall remain legal and equitable owner of them until such time as the customer has paid to the Company the agreed price for those goods together with the full price due for any other goods or services the subject of any other contract between the customer and the Company together with any interest due for late payment.

The Company reserves the right to alter or amend the specification of any goods without notice to the customer.

English Law only shall apply to this contract and all disputes shall be dealt with by the English courts alone.

FULL TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR SHEARWELL DATA LTD PRIZE DRAW – 1 JUNE 2026 TO 30 OCTOBER 2026

 

KEY TERMS: Entry Period: Entry is open from 01/06/2026 to 30/10/2026 (“Closing Date”). A winner will be drawn at random after the promotion ends and notified by 12 November 2026. Entry: Shearwell customers purchasing a new run of both Primary and Secondary tags between 1 June 2026 and 30 October 2026 will automatically be entered into the Prize Draw. One winner will be selected at random. The prize is a Ritchie Strathmore cattle crate with manual yoke worth £5,463, a Ritchie Head scoop worth £703, a ShearWeigh Weigh Head worth £595 and a pair of ShearWeigh Cattle Load Bars worth £1,200. Prize Value £7,961 RRP.


  1. The “Promoter” is Shearwell Data Ltd, Putham, Wheddon Cross, Minehead, Somerset, TA24 7AS.

  2. This draw is only open to those aged 18 or over and resident in GB (England, Scotland or Wales). Excluding Northern Ireland and the Isle of Man.

  3. The prize includes a Ritchie Strathmore cattle crate (suitable for both beef and dairy cattle) with manual yoke worth £5,463, a Ritchie Head scoop worth £703, a ShearWeigh Weigh Head worth £595 and a pair of ShearWeigh Cattle Load Bars worth £1,200. Prize Value: £7,961 RRP.

  4. The prize is non-transferable, and no cash alternative is offered. The Promoter reserves the right to provide substitute prize(s) of equal or greater value should the specified prize become unavailable for reasons beyond its control.

  5. Entrants must not be employees or contractors of the Promoter, or of Ritchie, or any subsidiary of the Promoter, or be in any other way connected with this draw including relatives of any such person.

  6. Entry is automatic: Shearwell customers purchasing a new run of both Primary and Secondary cattle ear tags between 1 June 2026 and 30 October 2026 will automatically be entered into the Prize Draw.

  7. Shearwell customers will receive one entry into the Prize Draw for each qualifying order of a new run of both Primary and Secondary tags placed during the promotion period.

  8. The Prize Draw runs during the entry period from 1 June 2026 to 30 October 2026. Orders of new runs of tags received outside of these dates are not valid and will not be included in the draw.

  9. There shall be one winner of the prize package described in clause 3. The Promoter shall not be responsible or liable for any costs beyond the stated value of the prize and the delivery charge.

  10. One winner will be selected at random from all eligible entries received after the Closing Date and will be notified by Shearwell by 12 November 2026. The winner may be asked to provide proof that they meet the competition criteria (GB residency and involvement in the beef or dairy sector). If they are unable to do so, a second winner will be selected at random, and so on, until a winner is found.

  11. By accepting the prize, the winner agrees to participate in promotional activity following the competition, including the use of their name, details, and photograph in related publicity materials. This may include, but is not limited to, announcements about the prize win and follow-up features showcasing the equipment in use on the winner’s beef or dairy farm.

  12. By accepting the prize, the winner agrees to be bound by these terms and conditions and any other requirements set out in the material relating to this promotion.

  13. Should the first random winner not wish to be bound by these terms and conditions, another random draw will take place.

  14. If a winner does not claim or agree to accept the Prize within 14 days of being notified by the Promoter, then the winner’s Prize will be forfeited, and the Promoter will be entitled to select another winner in accordance with the process described above.

  15. The Promoter reserves the right to refuse to award the prize to anyone in breach of these terms and conditions.

  16. The Promoter’s decision regarding any aspect of the Prize Draw is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

  17. Data collected as part of this competition will be handled in line with the Shearwell Data Ltd Privacy Policy.
