Raise better lambs from better rams, fast-growing sons and fertile daughters.

A ram spreads his genes across many more offspring than a ewe. If his daughters are to be kept as replacements the sire should be from a productive line of females. Whatever your breeding objectives, the fastest gains in genetic improvement will come from using superior rams.

  Why record Tupping?

Record tupping:

  • to create a true pedigree for each lamb
  • to compare lamb performance from different sires
  • for feed and management purposes

Use a tupping report:

  • to predict lambing dates
  • to monitor ram fertility
